I wanted to mention this, because it was good. I spent some time teaching our preacher's oldest daughter, she is 10, to crochet. She wants so much to help with the preemie booties & things. She has a good motivator & think she will do well. I will post her things for her as they come. So keep a look out.!
Current projects (no, really)
Other than the ones already mentioned, I have new projects going. I am working on a baby blanket for my daughter's band director. I just found out they had a boy a month ago. How embaressing!! I am working on a new Blankey Brigade blanket called stars & stripes. It is comming along nicely, if I could just stick with it. I keep getting sidetracked with preemie items. They are so gratifying to make.
Snuggles
Snuggles are blankets made for Animal shelters. This great project is set up through Hugs for Homeless Animals.
Blankey Brigade
These are blankets I crochet and donate (along with many others in our wonderful group @ Crochetville) for newborns of soldiers that have been deployed.
Preemie Items
I have been busy crocheting preemie items for Texas Childrens Hospital & other hospitals here locally. My friend Sally, who is head of Project Linus here, is kind enough to destribute these where they are best needed.
There is actually a hat & booties that go with this set.

My Charities
These won't have links yet. I have to check on permission first, but wanted you to know who they are.
Project Linus - A friend of mine heads up the local chapter here. They do quilts, but they will take afghans anytime.
Snuggles Project - I have 4 made already, along with a couple of crocheted toys (ball & fish).

Current Projects
I always seem to have projects in the works. Here is what I am working on now:
1) blue afghan for a wedding gift. Needs to be finished by July. Will be done much sooner. I will post a picture when it is finished. This project is done!!
2) a black/verigated lapghan. It started as a poncho. Loved the pattern, but did not like the the yarn I had chosen. It will make a nice lapghan for Project Linus. This item has been frogged & has as we speak already become part of something else.
3) a light yellow/verigated lapghan. My husband picked out the yellow, but I keep ripping it out because I can't decide what stitch I like best. I am using size P hook. I am going to try it as a star shaped one, I think.
Update on this project: I have frogged it again, found a pattern I love & am using a K instead. I will post a pic when it is finished.
4) White baby booties. I have one complete. Hope I haven't forgotten which pattern I used (don't you just hate it when you do that).
How could I forget this one:
5) a Hexagonal medallion afghan. White, pale pink, heather grey & black. The medallions are approx. 5".
